What you need to know when booking your appointment

Appointments
  • ​A standard appointment is 15 minutes, extra time is required for multiple issues, medicals, counselling, health assessments, care plans & minor surgeries. Please inform reception if you need a longer appointment when booking.
  • Emergencies will always have priority. Should there be any unforeseen delay, our reception staff will keep you informed.
  • Home & Nursing home visits are available for regular patients who are unable to attend the surgery due to their medical condition. Prior arrangement is required for this service.
  • If you are unable to keep your appointment, please advise reception as early as possible. Failure to cancel an appointment will attract a $25 fee.
Billing
  • We bulk bill all patients with a valid Medicare and concession card.
  • A consultation fee will apply for patients without a valid Medicare card and for services that do not have any Medicare rebates (e.g. Pre-employment medicals, Commercial Driver’s licence medicals, Work Cover, medical and insurance reports).
  • Special surgical procedures may incur a gap fee. This will be discussed on your initial appointment.
  • A list of fees are available upon request.
After Hours Care
  • We are committed to looking after our patients however if the practice is closed after hours, on weekends or during public holidays please ring 000 or attend Laidley Hospital at 75 William street Laidley, QLD 4341.
Compliments & Complaints
  • Please let us know if we have done good or not. All feedback will be actioned appropriately. If you are unhappy with the service, please speak to or write a complaint to the practice manager about your concerns.
  • If you feel that your concern needs to be taken further you can contact the Office of Health Ombudsman on 133 OHO (133 646).
